Kylie is a well-respected Choral Conductor with some 20 years of experience.
Kylie commenced her choral conducting career in 1993 when she was appointed as classroom Music teacher at St Paul’s School, Bald Hills. One of her key responsibilities at that school was to establish the school’s choral program from scratch.
During her time at St Paul’s Kylie completed her Master of Music Studies at the University of Queensland, where her main area of study was choral conducting. She studied with renowned Choral Conductors Dr Guy Jansen, Dr Edward Bolkovac, and Dr Christopher Kiver. Kylie has conducted choral ensembles ranging from SSA choirs to SATB choirs, both in Australia and the UK, within a wide variety of choral genres ranging from the Western Classical tradition to music of the present day.
Kylie is a passionate advocate for choral music and singing and believes that communal singing in a choir is one of the most rewarding experiences. Kylie loves to share this passion with others.
